When Posy Met Willy...

Before you get too excited, no we didn't get a new puppy. The puppy (Willy) belongs to our family friends however he is Posy's brother so as soon as the picked him up they brought him over to introduce him to Posy.

Look at his tiny face!!!

He was so tiny and cute and it's so hard to believe that Posy was ever that small! I know this a bit of a lame post but I thought Posy lovers might want to see a few pictures of just how cute Willy is!

Happy Monday :)

3 DAYS TO GO - Posy's Stocking

One of the biggest things of my year has been my puppy Posy. Since getting her in June she has made me so happy that I couldn't not spoil her at Christmas :) I've bought her lots of little treats and toys but for her biggest present (which she wont care about AT ALL) I decided to make her a stocking!

I had no idea how easy and fun making a stocking would be. All I did was cut out 2 sock shapes, hem the top edges, sew a big P on one side and them sew them together.

I have hung the stocking up on my (extremely messy) bunk bed and let's hope that Father Christmas remembers to fill it up.

Posy got very bored while I was making it and decided to have a little nap. We are staying in the country for Christmas and you know how they always say don't buy a white jumper because you'll get it dirty, well the same applies for dogs. Posy is FILTHY! She keeps pawing at my legs wanting a cuddle but whenever I pick her up shes soaking wet and full of mud.

I hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas Eve Eve Eve.

Merry Christmas.

19 DAYS TO GO - Polaroid Christmas Ornament

Big confession! We actually put our tree up in November. Which is super early. But super fun. I found this cute D.I.Y on this amazing blog Katie Cupcake and decided to make some for my fam. You already know I love Polaroid’s so I love these! I’m not very good on my sewing machine yet so the sewing’s a little dodgy but hopefully I pulled them off. There are also some photos of us putting up our tree and my favorite decorations we have. You never think about your Christmas decorations throughout the year (because that would be a very strange thing to think about) but I love it when you get them all out in December and you suddenly remember them all!!

I made this little angel last year and now it has joined our old regular like the fat angels!

Posy was super confused when we were decorating and she had no idea what was going on, but she wore her awesome new Christmas outfit, which was very exciting!

This was the tree pre-decoration! It's HUGE!

My mum made cheesy bacon sticks while we were decorating :D

We are into the teens of days till Christmas now!! Which is REALLY EXCITING.

Happy December.

Love Scarlett.

Hey There,

So guess how bored I am? Bored enough to have spent the last hour making GIFs of my awesome puppy. Rock on. I didn't know what GIFs where until today either but apparently they are these cool little moving pictures. They sort of remind me of Harry Potter's moving pictures.

I made mine on the website Make a Gif and it was super easy and fun.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Love Scarly.

Spot the Puppy

For anyone who follows me on twitter you will already be familiar with my familys new favourite game - Spot the Puppy. It's like 'Wheres Wally'... only much much cuter.

Lots of Puppys

OK... I have a confession to make. Up until very recently... I was NOT a dog person. In fact I was pretty much what you would call the opposite of a dog person. We had 3 cats, had never even considered getting a dog, and to tell you the truth dogs mostly terrified me. When I was one year old (I am told) I was sitting on beach when a large dog decided to dig a big whole right by the place where I was sitting, he chucked a mountain of sand up into my tiny sun burnt face and I have pretty much been terrified of dogs and sand ever since.

Then a few months ago everything changed. I spend a lot of time on my own (as you can probably tell by the ridiculous amount of craft and movie watching I do) and the cats just weren't proving the best company. So it occured to me that a dog could be exactly the companion I was looking for... and then we found...

(its actually meant to be spelt POSY but I got so excited about biscuit making that I spelt it wrong)

Tomorrow is our official two week anniversary together and I am in shock every day at how well its going and how much I love her. She has settled in AMAZINGLY and is already about 80% house trained. She seems to spend most of her time either sleeping on my bed or trying to kill my feet and running around like a mad man. She has a little pen in our kitchen and there has not been one person enter the house so far who has not fallen in love with her. Its official.. I'm dog crazy.

Here is a little fact file so you can get to know her better.

Name - Posy Kate Middleton Freud Curtis

D.O.B. - May 3rd 2011

Mother - Apricot Toy Poodle named Coco.

Father - White Maltese Terrier named Santos.

Favourite Food - Chicken and Chedder Cheese

Favourite Colour - Pink (obvi)

Favourite Things - Her Donut toy, her mini tennis balls and my burts bees lip balm which she takes everywhere.

Mortal Enemys - Yarn and my feet.

Favourite Book - Ballet Shoes (her namesake Posy Fossil)

Favourite Movie - she hasnt managed to stay awake for an entire movie yet but lets assume we have similar taste.

I know I may seem a little puppy crazy at the moment and I'm pretty sure my endless tweeting is going to cost me a few followers but believe me, if you met her, you would be too. However I do swear this shall be my most Puppy filled blog and then I will try to go back to normal.

Although Posy is of course incredibly distracting I have still been managing to keep up with my knitting and in my Puppy Frenzy decided to knit a dog. I found this INCREDIBLE blog called Mochimochi Land which has some of my favourite patterns of all time! I downloaded their pattern for 'Pileable Pups' which was five pounds and worth every penny! I have decided to call the knitted pup Cooper as that was what I wanted to call Posy if she was a boy. I originally wanted Posy and Cooper to be friends but after seeing her rip a ball of yarn to shreds I thought it might be best to keep them apart...

The pattern was definitely tricky but so worth it in the end. I love both my new puppys!

I hope you have enjoyed this puppy filled blog post and have an amazing weekend!

Love Scarlett and Posy xx

Exciting News!

A lot of excitement has been building since I tweeted yesterday (ok a tiny bit of excitement but I like to pretend it was lots) and the exciting news is...WE ARE GETTING A PUPPY!

As anyone who follows me or my mum on twitter will know we have been considering getting a puppy for a few months and after much searching we finally found the perfect pup. He is an apricot Maltipoo, a cross breed between a Maltese and a Poodle. At the moment he looks a lot like a rat but on the 12th of june (9 days before my birthday) he will be ours!! We already have three cats but this is our first dog (and its going to be mine) and I am so excited I cant even breathe! If you have any tips for getting a new puppy or any name suggestions pleeease comment or tweet me! Also... in true teenage granny style I am knitting the new puppy a patchwork blanket so I will post pictures as it comes together.

The Puppys Mum and Dad:

And my other bit of exciting news is that I have had an idea to start a twitter knitting club! I think it will be so much fun and already loads of people have said they are interested. It will be fun not only because knitting is awsome but also because there are about 10,000 funny names we could call it (knit-twit, knitter, twitkniters, etc.)

We could all get together (online), pick a pattern and work on it at the same time, tweeting and posting pictures of our progress.

If you are interested PLEASE comment or better yet tweet me (@scarlyKFcurits) and we can hopefully get it started this week. Maybe we could all start with a patchwork blanket as it is really easy.

Hope everyone is having an amazing weekend and MASSIVE good luck to all the moonwalkers (my madre included)

Love Scarlett the soon to be Twit-Knit Club inventor and puppy owner.
